Where are the WTS "codes of conduct" for each member written?
by RULES & REGULATIONS in.
i choose not to drink,smoke,gamble for my health and well being.
but i never understood why i couldn't grow a beard,attend another church to be just an observer for a wedding or funeral,or why i couldn't work or do work at another church.. is there a book or manuel where it states that members of jehovah's witnesses can't get drunk,smoke,gamble,join the military,work or enter another church,grow a beard,have long hair,have to wear a suit to the meetings,woman can't give talks, can't become a policeman,or is everything implied?.

Here's another gem:

This is a delightful strawman fallacy. They have argued that the lowest people on the WT totem pole, the rank and file do not benefit or get paid for their book selling. This is, true. I would assume to be considered a "peddler" of something, one would have to profit from a sale. The R & F are not profiting themselves, but they are acting as surrogate peddlers from the ones who ARE profiting. Their religious masters in Brooklyn take in far more than they spend. That is profiting. Therefore, the WTS leaders are peddlers of the word of God, and are the biggest peddlers of such on this planet. Not only that, the largest peddling of God's word they do is to their very own followers.
A reasonable person knows that while the Bible IS a big book, it wouldn't take a religion over a hundred years to explain it, no matter how they explained or interpreted it. It wouldn't take a plethora of new books, new booklets, new pamphlets and new magazines every year for over a hundred years to explain it. A wannabe prosperous and successful book peddler would also recognize this, as the WTS has done. Hence "progressive revelation!" Never-ending new and different explanations of the same verses would mean never-ending opportunites to print and peddler books. But that should only be done in moderation, lest the flock grumble. In the meantime, never-ending RESTATING the SAME explanations over and over and over would give never-ending opportunities to peddle yet more new books. This is especially true if you've brainwashed your flock that they must buy these books or die.

Isn't the Watchtower Study,Ministry School,and preaching work just a form of marketing the literature of the WTS?

Ever get the surprise Saturday morning sheparding call?
by undercover ina few weeks ago a couple of brothers stopped by my house on a saturday morning.
these were guys that i've been friends with for years and years.
there is no animosity towards them.

My sheparding call is coming in a couple of weeks. The 2 day assembly is coming up and usually an Elder and the Circuit Overseer will pay me a visit. Depending on the mood I'm in,either I will not answer the door,have my wife answer and tell them I'm not home,or let them come in and get their visit over with.
Last time they showed up when my family and I were eating breakfast. I told them that this wasn't a good time to talk and if they could do me a favor and call next time. Since I have caller I.D.,I screen my calls and do not answer when they call. They got around this now by calling my mom and asking her if she can call me to see if I'm home and when is the best time to come over.
I finally figured it out that all I am is a return visit and time on their service time slips.
